2024 Scholarship Recipients

Linking Partnership Opportunities Foundation, Incorporated in collaboration with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Lambda Phi Omega Chapter Scholarship Committee annually awards 6 scholarships to graduating high school seniors residing and attending high schools in Cuyahoga County who will be incoming freshmen at 4-year colleges/universities. The recipients for these 6 scholarships are selected by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Lambda Phi Omega Chapter Scholarship Committee. Cecelia T. Harkness Scholarships in memory of former member, educator and scholarship committee member, Cecelia T. Harkness, sponsored by her family.

Shana D. Gardner Scholarship in memory of former member Shana D. Gardner, sponsored by her family.

In 2022 the foundation was entrusted to administer 3 additional scholarships for students in any year of their post-high school studies who resided and graduated from Cuyahoga County high schools. The recipients for these 3 scholarships are selected by the Linking Partnership Opportunities Foundation, Incorporated Scholarship Committee.

James L. Torain Scholarship for future mental health professionals, sponsored by his family

LaCelia Lemon Scholarship for Criminal Justice, Criminology, Forensic Science and Law.  Applicants may be in any year of their post-high school education.

  We are pleased to announce the offering of an inaugural scholarship for high school students, the Linking Partnership Opportunities Foundation Scholarship for GRIT exemplifying the characteristics of Courage, Conscientiousness, Perseverance, Resilience and Passion.​
